I'm Kasey, a food nerd (that's me in the apron and fierce vintage earrings, with two excellent chefs in Italy).
As a registered dietitian nutritionist for over 20 years, I've helped folks with food sensitivities and multiple health issues. In the end, it all came back to eating healthy. I love to experiment with gluten and dairy free cooking and learn about other food cultures.
I follow a gluten and dairy free lifestyle but found I really struggle finding options when traveling. Gluten and dairy free options are often an afterthought at hotels and restaurants. It can be incredibly disheartening! Dining in the culinary capitals of Italy or France, but you end up with a dry cracker wrapped in plastic while everyone else at the table has luscious freshly baked bread. That is no fun!
I know chefs, restaurants, and hoteliers want to do better. And with proper planning through our small group tours, they do!
With Appetite To Travel, we create, organize, and conduct cookery classes and foodie tours for those who eat gluten and dairy free.
I hold Advanced Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. As a Certified LEAP Therapist, I identify and manage multiple health problems that stem from food sensitivities.
I'm also a certified plant-based chef and have enhanced my skills at various cookery courses and lessons in the USA, Ireland, Italy, France, Costa Rica, and Israel.
